Your base from which you can explore NY will be in one of our favourite hotels: Washington Square Hotel, which is located on a square with the same name. It’s not because it’s a luxury hotel, but a charming and affordable 3-star hotel with a great location in the heart of the popular district of Greenwich which is, according to experts, the best place in New York. In the direct area of the hotel you will find nice restaurants, jazz clubs, art galleries and trendy shops. The hotel has an Art Deco-style lobby, a breakfast room and a gym.

If you are able afford more, then the Soho Grand Hotel has been an excellent place to stay for many years. It dates from 1996 and is decorated in a trendy ‘Manhattan’ style with chandeliers and contemporary furniture. The lounge / bar is one of NY hotspots and the hotel also rents bicycles to its guests. For the lonely hearts it’s also possible to rent a goldfish for companionship during your stay.
