More than 100 different animals live here including lion, leopards and a large population of elephants. During the dry season, large concentrations of animals gather around the rare ponds found here. For example at the Ivory Lodge or Khulu Bush Camp, where the presidential elephant herd regularly provide an unforgettable show.

Culture and sporting activities are a three-hour drive away in the impressive Matobo Hills. Stay in the unique Amalinda Lodge where you will sleep in caves with authentic rock drawings from more than 2000 years old. The lodge is situated in an incomparably beautiful landscape, ideal for the most beautiful guided walks. The highlight is a rock climb to the spectacular caves (UNESCO) where bushmen left the most beautiful rock drawings of Africa. Or go trekking with a ranger in the adjacent park and spot the protected rhino, as well as a good chance of spotting the rare black eagle.

The journey ends at the Victoria Falls, one of the largest attractions in the country, located on the border with Zambia. The mighty Zambezi River drops down here to form the widest waterfalls in Africa covering a distance of 1700m. The colonial Victoria Falls Hotel is over 100 years old and has its own hiking trail to the falls.
