Welcome to Guatemala, the land of eternal spring! Guatemala offers many cultural highlights with its Spanish colonial heritage and spectacular Mayan ruins. In addition, it is home to a colorful mix of  people composed of, among others, Indians and Latinos. Nowhere else in the world are there as many direct descendants of the Maya and in addition to the main Spanish language, there are still about 21 Mayan languages ​​spoken.

The journey begins in Antigua, the former capital of the country. This city was founded at the beginning of the 16th century and lies 1,500 meters above sea level. It was largely destroyed in 1773 by an earthquake. The charming city center is characterized by impressive ruins and colonial buildings. Your journey will continue on to Lake Atitlán and Casa Palopó, a beautiful base directly on the lake.

The most important monument of the Maya is in Tikal National Park. The ancient Mayan city was inhabited from the 6th century BC to the 10th century AD. In the ceremonial center you will find beautiful temples, palaces and public squares which can be reached via ramps. You will overnight in the park in the Jungle Lodge, surrounded by a rich vegetation where up to 54 different species of mammals live.

The coastal area of ​​Belize is a beautiful nature reserve that consists of the largest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere. You will find offshore atolls, several hundred sandbanks, mangrove forests and lagoons. The overnight stays in Belize are in amazingly beautiful hotels such as Ka’ana Luxury Resort, where many activities are possible. The journey ends at Turtle Inn Resort, owned by the famous film director Francis Coppola, who built cottages and villas for his family and paying guests at his former family house.
